Note: Radial Window Treatments will make every effort possible to assist customer in taking accurate window measurements. If customer chooses to take their own measurements, customer takes full responsibility for accuracy as Radial Window Treatments LLC will build window treatment according to customer-provided measurements.

Measurement Instructions for Radius Windows

Window Style (1)A

      Radius Windows that are approximately ½ circles

  • Measure across (horizontally) from one side to the other directly where the radius window transitions into EITHER rectangular window below, or where window sill starts. The highest- widest Point. (measurement A)
  • Take this measurement and divide by 2 to get the center point.
  • Put a piece of tape in this area and make a mark at the center position. You may need a straight edge, or string line for this step if there is an existing window below.
  • From this point, measure straight up using a plumb-bob, or level. (measurement B) A true ½ circle will have all points equal from the center point

Note: Please be as accurate as possible with measurements. Radial Window Treatments LLC will subtract 3/8” (0.375”) from the radius to account for any imperfections in the surrounding finish material. There will be spacers provided to fill this gap.

   Window style (2)A has a vertical center measurement (B) less than ½ the distance measured from one side to the other (A). 

  1. Measure across from one side of the window to the other directly where the radius window transitions into Either rectangular window below, or where window sill starts. The highest- widest Point. (Measurement A)
  2. Take this measurement and divide by 2 to get the center point.
  3. Put a piece of tape in the center area and make a pencil mark at the center position. You may need a straight edge, or string line for this step.
  4. From this point, measure straight up using a plumb-bob, or level. (measurement B)

  1. Measure across from one side of the window to the other directly where the radius window transitions into rectangular window below, or where window sill starts. The highest- widest Point. (Measurement A)
  2. Take this measurement and divide by 2 to get the center point.
  3. Put a piece of tape in the center area and make a pencil mark at the center position. You may need a straight edge, or string line for this step.
  4. From this point, measure straight up using a plumb-bob, or level. (measurement B)
  5. Take a measurement from the point where radius meets vertical straight down to window sill. (measurement C)
